Conditions Générales de Vente

These General Terms of Sales apply to all bookings made with the hotel de l’Arve by HappyCulture, located at 60 impasse des anémones, 74400 Chamonix, France. The Customer expressly acknowledges that prior to making any booking he or she has fully read and understood these Terms and unreservedly accepts them.

RATES

Rates are provided in €uro and all taxes included, The price includes the VAT applicable on the date of booking and any increase in the applicable VAT rate will automatically be added to the prices indicated at time of booking.

The prices shown are to be understood per room for the number of person(s) and date(s) selected. Unless otherwise specified, additional services like breakfast are not included in the price.

Tourist tax (taxe de séjour) is not included in the room rate and must be paid directly at the hotel unless prepaid online or is included.

BOOKING AND PAYMENTS

The booking is considered completed once the booking form or booking request has been received by our hotel, and the customer has provided a valid credit card number and a deposit of 30%, and after written confirmation send by the hotel.

The hotel reserve the right the refuse a booking if the credit card is not valid, or the booking incomplete.

The payment will be done directly at the hotel (except for prepaid reservation), in the local currency only. The hotel accepts payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Amex) or cash.

During the booking process, 30% of the total amount of the booking will be charged as a deposit, except in the case of a special « not refundable » offer, in which case the total amount of the stay will be charged.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION

All modification or cancellation request must be written at : reservation@hotelarve-chamonix.com . The customer can also reach the hotel by phone if needed : +33 4 50 53 02 31 The request will only be effective when the hotel confirms agreement in writing.

Should the Customer cut their stay short, the full agreed price shall be payable and retained. If the booking has been prepaid, no refund will be given if the Customer cuts his or her stay short.

Cancellation policy: - Any booking cancellations and/or changes in full or in part must be given in written notice. - For cancellations/changes made 30 days or less prior to arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. - For cancellation or no-show on the day of arrival : 100% of the stay is due.

In the case of a « Non-refundable » booking, the reservation will not be modified nor moved, and in case of a cancellation the total amount of the booking is due.

For any booking made on the website of a partner (Ex : booking.com, Expedia.com...), the request for modification or cancellation must be made through the same website.

In accordance with Article L. 121-21-8 12 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer does not enjoy the cancellation rights provided in Article L. 121-21 of the French Consumer Code.

THE HOTEL

The children’s breakfast rate is applicable until 12 years old.

Rooms are available for check-in from 3pm, and must be vacated by 12 (noon) on the day of the departure. Failure to do so may incur the charge for an additional night.

The hotel is entirely NON-SMOKING (in accordance with French law), including e-cigarets, juuls and chichas.

DATA PRIVACY

Under the French Data Privacy Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés) of 6 January 1978, you have the right at any time to see, correct and challenge any information about you, by writing a letter or email, including proof of identity, to our Company at the following address: reservation@hotelarve-chamonix.com.

Our hotel provide WIFI access, so customers are able to connect to the internet. The Customer shall ensure that none of the digital resources provided by the Hotel are used, in any way, for the purposes of reproduction or representation, and that none of the materials protected by copyright or related rights, such as texts, images, photographs, musical and audiovisual works, software and video games are made available or communicated to the public without authorisation from the copyright holders, as stated in books I and II of the Intellectual Property Code, where such authorisation is required.

RESPONSABILITIES

The hotel declines responsability in case of theft, loss or damage of the customer’s property during the stay. The customer will be held responsible for any damage and/or vandalism to the hotel’s property incurring during the stay.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints can be brought to our attention directly at the front desk. Without a satisfactory answer after 60 days, the customer may call for the arbitrator of tourism and travel, whose contact informations and conditions are on the following website : https://www.mtv.travel

APPLICABLE LAW

These General Terms of Sale are governed by French law without removing any protective rights applicable in the Customer’s country of residence.
